Community Opportunity Pathways

Moving Forward on What Matters Most

Many Nations are working on several priorities at the same time. Leadership and staff are managing housing, energy, infrastructure, economic development, and governance while also responding to funding deadlines, external proposals, and community needs.

The challenge is rarely a shortage of ideas. It is the capacity to evaluate options, coordinate across priorities, and move the right projects forward at the right time.

That is where we help.

We work alongside leadership to review what is already in motion, identify the most practical next steps, and help coordinate the people, plans, and funding needed to turn priority ideas into real projects.

How We Work

We start by understanding what your community is already working toward and where things stand.

From there we help organize priorities and map practical pathways forward. This can include:

  • Review of existing plans, studies, and project concepts
  • Priority mapping sessions with leadership and staff
  • Gap analysis across planning, funding, and implementation readiness
  • Identification of overlapping opportunities across housing, energy, infrastructure, and economic development
  • Funding landscape review and stacking strategies
  • Project sequencing and phasing recommendations
  • Partner identification and coordination
  • Support for governance and decision-making frameworks around project priorities

We do not add to the pile of plans.

Many communities already have more plans and studies than they can act on. Our focus is on turning existing ideas and priorities into coordinated action, not creating more paper.

When communities are ready to move, we can also support:

  • Funding applications and proposal development
  • Project coordination across multiple workstreams
  • Partner and stakeholder engagement
  • Documentation and progress reporting to support future phases and funding
The goal is not another strategic plan. It is practical progress on the opportunities your community has already identified.

We Start Where You Are

We work with Nations at many stages, including:

  • Communities with multiple active priorities competing for limited staff time and resources
  • Nations with completed plans or studies that have not yet moved to implementation
  • New leadership looking to understand what is already in motion and where to focus
  • Economic development teams managing several project streams and funding timelines
  • Communities responding to external proposals or partnership offers and wanting help evaluating fit

Everything Connects

Housing affects energy. Energy affects food. Infrastructure affects employment. Economic development affects governance capacity. Most community priorities are interconnected, and progress in one area often creates momentum in others.

We approach community opportunity work with this holistic lens. Rather than treating each priority as a separate file, we help communities see and act on the connections between them. Through our wider network and ClimateDoor collaboration, we can bring in specialized partners, technologies, and funding as specific project needs emerge.
