Indigenomics & IPSS Global Innovation Workshops

Unify facilitated strategic workshops at Indigenomics and the Indigenous Partnerships Success Showcase, focused on how Indigenous communities can engage with international markets and global innovation.

Workshop Design

The sessions were designed as two-way conversations with Indigenous leaders, entrepreneurs, and community representatives. Rather than presenting a fixed agenda, we structured discussions around participant questions and priorities related to global trade, investment, and innovation. This ensured the content reflected real interests and challenges identified by communities.

Building on these discussions, we outlined practical pathways for engaging with international markets, including approaches to attracting foreign direct investment from Asia and Europe, forming global partnerships, and participating in emerging innovation sectors. Sessions also explored how technology adoption and international collaboration can support community-level economic development.

Learnings and Impact

Through this work, participants gained a clearer understanding of how global opportunities connect to local priorities, along with practical entry points for engaging with investors, partners, and international markets on their own terms. These sessions reflect Unify’s commitment to supporting Indigenous communities and partners in community-led economic development and growth at any scale.
