Unify worked alongside the Gitxsan Laxyip Management Office to support the development of a Nation-wide strategic plan grounded in hereditary governance. The work focused on economic development and land stewardship, while ensuring alignment with cultural protocols and long-standing governance systems.

The process was shaped through engagement sessions and working groups with hereditary leaders, community institutions, and regional partners. These discussions focused on identifying priorities and opportunities based on Gitxsan values, ensuring the strategy was developed through existing governance structures rather than outside them.

Working closely with leadership, we supported the development of a practical framework that aligns economic planning with hereditary governance. Technical research was used to identify viable opportunities and outline clear implementation pathways, ensuring recommendations could be carried forward within existing capacity.

The work positioned the Gitxsan Nation for new partnerships, investment opportunities, and long-term development grounded in traditional leadership and governance. The strategic plan serves as an ongoing reference point for decision-making, ensuring that future economic development remains aligned with Gitxsan values, land stewardship priorities, and hereditary governance structures.
