Unify facilitated a workshop at the Assembly of First Nations Climate Gathering focused on how climate technology can be used to address infrastructure gaps in First Nations communities. Participants shared specific challenges related to infrastructure, climate resilience, and economic development. Rather than delivering a fixed presentation, the discussion was shaped in real time by the priorities raised in the room.
Based on these inputs, the workshop explored how emerging climate technologies can be applied to community-led infrastructure planning. This included practical examples of how innovation can address energy, housing, and service gaps, and how these approaches can align with local economic development goals.
The session also outlined how to connect projects to existing funding and investment opportunities, helping participants understand how to position ideas for support and partnership.
Overall, the workshop provided participants with clearer pathways for moving from identified challenges to potential solutions–while building knowledge and connections to support future planning, partnerships, and community-led implementation.
